Senior Product Development Specialist (R&D)

Job description
  • Participate in product development efforts for single or multiple projects from exploring through commercialization.
  • Participate in the development and execution of product design strategy to deliver desired consumer benefits while ensuring alignment with
  • Vision/Migration plans.
  • Participate in the development of product key milestones, budget, timeline, and resource forecast for assigned project(s).
  • Participate in development and lead execution of the learning plan in conjunction with Marketing Research and Innovation Testing teams
  • Ensure development and execution of product specification and quality plans appropriate for the phase of the project.
  • Facilitate discussions with marketing and the design team regarding claims and aesthetics.
  • Screen, refine and commercialize several product improvement ideas to deliver on Innovation path for Baby Care, Feminine Care, and Adult Care products
  • Develop consumer Research approach and lead the consumer validation for new product designs
  • Maintains familiarization with the competitive landscape and industry trends of new product designs and strategy.
  • Develops and/or performs all specification requirements on new product designs including the creation product description/BOM sheets, lab tests, stability testing/monitoring, performance verification, etc.
  • Proactively monitors the industry landscape and our client’s formulation database to ensure product designs are price competitive.
  • Participation in establishing processes, strategies, and improvements to the Company including sales, purchasing, maintenance and engineering efforts as required to ensure the functional knowledge transfer befitting prior roles is required.
  • Reformulate / Redesign to improve existing products and drive better and cheaper strategy participate in special projects as needed and any other tasks as assigned.
  • Ensure products are cost-competitive by ensuring proper communication with raw material Development teams regarding new and existing technologies.
  • Evaluates new and alternative raw materials for functionality and stability.
  • Develop new ideas of products in the key existing categories. lead development of new product ideas, lead the development of ideas into tangible and verified concepts, turn concepts into prototypes.
  • Continuously provide a broader innovation perspective beyond the core product categories and capabilities

Job requirments
  • Ph.D./ Master degree Engineering, Physics, Chemistry or related field advanced degree in a related major scientific, engineering, process/manufacturing or materials discipline from an accredited college or university.
  • 10 years of experience in a variety of technical assignments in R&D, Quality and The process within the hygienic absorbent product industry.
  • Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team to complete projects within required timeframes.
  • Strong knowledge and background in insights-driven product development are desired. A demonstrated the ability to develop customer-preferred solutions. This includes the validation of prototypes with end-users.
  • Experience with the commercialization process.
  • New product development experience: concept to execution
  • Entrepreneurial mindset – demonstrated through work and previous experiences.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills in English for common business are a must
  • Curious about new innovation models and willing to challenge the status quo.
  • Able to work independently, multi-task and perform in a high achieving environment
  • Excellent creative problem-solving skills and ability to use data to connect multiple ideas and develop solutions.

  • Structured approach to new product development: from idea to concept; from concept to the prototype, from prototype to final verified prototype and implementation to production.
  • Experience with all phases of the product development lifecycle, including concept, design, implementation, verification and validation activities necessary for product commercialization.
